Schematic drawing!

Okay ... so this is a very new and interesting drawing technique, and let me explain why:

1: Well I cant even draw a star
2: I really want to learn to draw well (or at least be at an average standard)
3: I have had several weeks off university so wanted to show that I could get back into the swing of things really quickly!

So after a lot of looking at a blank piece of paper, and a lot of Boysie's help (www.boysiesandsbagd.blogspot.com) i finally managed to get an understanding of schematic drawing : ) yay!

Alright ... so this is the starting grid! Basically you draw a grid (any size) (mine is 6cm x 6cm) then you draw your chosen letter or shape in 2D form! So as you can see from the grid above, I have achieved this to exceptional standards ....

Ok, so after using the ruler a lot and re-sharpening your pencil you get to this point! Where you no longer have a 2D shape, because of the horizon lines position and the vertical line you have placed (in any position) you come up with this rough outline for a 3D object!

Ok ... so after I had the rough outline drawn up I decided to go over it with a thicker, bolder pen ... I thought this might help to add a bit of depth of field possibly and make it more noticeable amongst the thousands of lines I had already drawn!

After all this long process I decided to add some shading into the drawing (granted I have only shaded 4 areas the same colour) but this is only an update to where I am at the moment ... expect an update tomorrow with a final piece and possibly a few changed samples in photoshop!

Mmm ... new perfume, smells fantastic! Love you x

I just looked at this and it helped my figure out how to do the schematic drawings, I could find hardly anything online in the way of help, so thanks, mine arn't as precise as yours though!
