Personality in type 3!

Ok ... so another update!
Basically this is a summary of what I did to my typeface for David before crit, what happened during crit ... and how i felt crit went for myself and my final typeface.
Cool ... so i carried on focusing upon the already existing type face of 'Bauhaus Bold.'  I picked this font for its boldness but soft and flowing curves and thought this would work well as a good starting point which could already show part of Davids personality!
What I decided to do was to try and de
lete/erase areas of the letter form to make it free some space like a 'free spirit' ... haha!  Next I decided to select key areas of the type and add some flowing curves and free lines to them, again for 'FREE SPIRIT' but also for 'PURE and CREATIVE'

Ok ... so as you can see above is a whole alphabet that i did using my letterform!  I am pleased with how it came out, and during the crit i received a lot of positive feedback from the group and David himself which I was very pleased about!  David informed me that i had picked up on his gentle and emotional side in my typeface, however he felt that i could make the lines bolder and more toned to show the other side to his personality.  Below is the 'W' in my typeface, i included this to show that my type w
as legible and very creative (in my opinion)

The image below is David typeface based upon my personality.   He said during crit how he had picked up on the fact that i have two sides to my personality ... the boisterous and outgoing side of me, then the balanced and strong valued side.  After looking at the typeface, I immediately picked up on how David had focused on my fun, cheerful and active personality in his type.  David did a very good job creating a type based upon me ... the name badge I liked very much for how close and solid the letter forms were ... I feel on his final piece if he makes the letter forms larger and add more tone he will have my personality in type down to a t ... a capital T!

Mucho love x
